At PWD Studio, we had the privilege of partnering with Nicole Rubin, a James Island native, as she embarked on a transformative journey to restore and reimagine one of downtown Charleston's esteemed residences. Our expert team worked diligently within preservation guidelines to seamlessly integrate Nicole's modern art collection while honoring the home's rich history, including its original hardwood floors and fireplaces. Through meticulous craftsmanship, we successfully connected the main house to the former carriage house, creating a cozy and inviting family room. The outdoor space underwent a remarkable transformation, featuring a stunning saltwater pool and an exquisite marble fountain. Within the house, our design touch elevated rooms like the family room, library-turned-office, and primary bedroom, providing a harmonious blend of serenity and style. We are honored to have played a role in Nicole's stewardship of this cherished residence, ensuring its enduring legacy for generations to come.
