Founded by Patti Wilbourne, PWD Studio is a Charleston, South Carolina–based interior design firm known for creating distinguished homes and hospitality spaces for discerning clients. Patti Wilbourne’s expertise lies in understanding spatial relationships and the experience of a space, layering intentional finishes and fixtures that reflect a client-centric design process. Guided by the architectural tenet that “form follows function,” every PWD Studio design decision considers how a space looks, feels, and is used by the people who inhabit it.

Under Wilbourne’s direction as Founder and Creative Director, the classically trained team brings large-scale creative vision and meticulous project management to every client, improving the way clients live and work and fostering relationships that last long after completion.

The client experience is the cornerstone of our design model, shaping every decision from concept to installation. Born from that commitment is our dedicated operations department that works alongside PWD Studio’s designers to facilitate white-glove service. Our in-house team ensures that every detail of procurement, storage, and inventory management is handled with precision.

Recent projects include a 600-acre historic Lowcountry sporting lodge dating to the 1740s, a New England seaside retreat, a reimagined marshside golf club, a 200-year-old downtown restoration, a multigenerational family compound on Kiawah Island, and the Juliska flagship store. While rooted in the Southeastern United States, PWD Studio regularly travels to collaborate with clients who value timeless design, thoughtful storytelling, and interiors that feel distinctly their own.
