“Charleston design has a timeless charm rooted in its ability to blend historic character with coastal ease,” says Patti Wilbourne, the founder of PWD Studio, a Charleston-based interior design firm. “Classic plaster walls and wood paneled rooms set a refined backdrop, often punctuated by exposed brick, rustic beams, and wide plank flooring that speak to the city’s architectural heritage.”
